FAQ's

What is a celebrant?

A celebrant is someone who offers bespoke, secular ceremonies to mark life’s milestones, be it a marriage, renewal of vows, transition ceremony, baby naming, funeral or service of remembrance, your celebrant can design and deliver a service that is just right for you.

Why choose a celebrant?

Celebrant led ceremonies offer you creative freedom in the design and delivery of your ceremony, which is designed with you in mind, based on your desires and needs. Whatever your ideas, your celebrant can bring them to life.

Is a wedding conducted by a celebrant legally binding?

In England and Wales couples will need to arrange the legal registration of their marriage at a local registrar’s office. All that is required is for the marriage certificate to be signed in front of two witnesses. This is the legal paperwork element of your marriage contract; the costs are minimal, and this element of your marriage can be conducted before or after your wedding day.

Are there restrictions regarding the location of ceremonies?

There are no restrictions on where you can have a wedding, renewal of vows, baby naming or ceremony of remembrance. Things to think about are the safety of the location, travel to the venue for you and your guests, parking restrictions and wet weather provisions.
